THIS IS A MAGAZINE ABOUT WORK

The reasons our generation goes to work has changed. nobody takes a job knowing they'll be there and do it for 20 or more years. we bloody give ourselves a chance.

In the mainstream press all interviews essentially are success stories. Nobody talks about the little beginnings, moments when you have no idea what to do next. It’s easy to look confident, yet when you have an honest chat, it becomes clear everyone’s life is made out of ups and downs.

Fuelled by raw and honest conversations about creative life and unconventional work, this is a magazine about the doers of our generation. It's also a documentation of the 21st century Lithuania at work: young, creative and with a positive outlook

We are here to talk about solutions, not problems. Our purpose is to make other people as passionate about work as we are. We feel crazy proud to be living and working in Lithuania. When you walk around Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipeda or any other place, opportunities are the only thing you see.  Lastly, we long for and want to create a community of collaborators and doers.

Oh and hey, right now it's work in progress. We are cooking up a magazine, a podcast and event series. Our secret goal is to encourage everyone to go try figure out what they love most in this world and then go do it.

So we started the project for a simple reason: to tell stories about the doers of OUR generation living and working in Lithuania and to start a discourse about creative life and unconventional work also promoting the Baltic Talent locally and globally.

a note from the editor

Hey, thanks for coming over here!

One day I decided to leave my job at a magazine and a bunch of friends in London and move to Lithuania, my home country, to start kazmonesdirba.com. There's so much to create and cities are open and calling for change - I wanted to be part of that change. I found my opportunity - this magazine - and decided I'll give it a go. It's a magical feeling to know your work adds a grain of greatness to a country you call home.

If you want to be a part of the project - write stories, take photos, help us design posters or organise events, give me a shout at rasa@kazmonesdirba.com. Can't wait to hear from you!

With love,

Rasa Jusionytė
